The Cooking Committee is a group of about 24 volunteers
who provide a hot evening meal once a month to residents of the Sooner House (Valley
homeless shelter) and residents of the Umbrella’s safe house for abused women and
children. Members of the Cooking Committee take care of either cooking the hot entrée,
baking a dessert, preparing a side dish, shopping for fresh vegetables or delivering the
hot meal.
