FATHER MARCELLO HELPING OUT AT ST. CATHERINE’S

For the next couple of months, Father Joseph Marcello will be helping out on Sundays at our neighboring parish, St. Catherine of Siena in Trumbull, as their own parochial vicar was recently transferred.  Until his new priest associate arrives at St. Catherine’s this June, the pastor, Msgr. Richard Shea, is grateful to have Father Marcello’s assistance, and we are pleased to “share” our fine, hard-working resident priest with his parish in their need.

Next weekend will be the “In Pew” collection for the Annual Bishop’s Appeal.  If you have not already made your pledge to this year’s Appeal, you may do so next week at any of the Masses.  You can use the form sent to your home; additional forms will also be available in church.  If you have already made your gift or pledge, thank you sincerely for your support of the many programs and services made possible by the annual Bishop’s Appeal!

PASTORAL PLAN FOR EVANGELIZATION Year II

The Pastoral Plan for Evangelization is entering Year II of its five year plan.  There are flyers and prayer cards available at the exits of the church which give the details for the coming year.

Prayer for the Pastoral Plan

Heavenly Father, in Your love You made Your Risen Son the foundation of Your Church.  In Your goodness You have anchored us in the truth of Your Word, rooted us in the love you offer us in the Sacraments, and called us to share Your truth and love with everyone.  With Your grace, enable us to build up the Church on these solid foundations to the glory of Your name.  Loving Father, help us to follow closely in the footsteps of Your Son; and may the Mother of Your Son, Mary, Star of Evangelization, intercede for us.  We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.
