FIRST FRIDAY EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
|
|
Weekly
Eucharistic Adoration now begins at 12 noon until 7 p.m. in our
chapel.
We are still in
need of a few volunteers for the new hours on the schedule (3 – 4
p.m. and 4 – 5 p.m. in particular) If you would like to
volunteer on a regular basis for our weekly Eucharistic Adoration
or as a back-up, please call Cecile DiBitetto (924-4005) or
Sheila Marcinauskis (924-9269).
Eucharistic
Adoration is a wonderful, spiritual opportunity to spend some quiet
time in prayer before Our Lord! |

BISHOP
LORI’S “BLOG”
Bishop Lori has
started a “blog” to share news, perspectives and info about the Church
at
www.BishopLoriBlog.org. Each week a new post will be featured with
answers to questions from previous posts. Please visit to participate
in this new way to communicate and share perspectives on our faith!

OFFERTORY METHODS
St.
Joseph Church offers parishioners the ability to make their weekly
offering by credit card, by automatic withdrawal, or by
”pay-by-mail”. If you are interested in one of these options,
please contact the Parish Office for more info.

Church & Mass Etiquette
Please turn off all cell
phones before Mass. Please read the Sunday Bulletin before or after
Mass -- not during. Please remember to dress appropriately -- take as
much care to dress for Mass as you would do for a wedding or other
important event. Please remember that others use the time before and
after Mass for prayer and quiet surroundings are appreciated. Please
pray or sing out loud during the Mass when called for with conviction
and joy!!

“GUARDIAN ANGELS” NEEDED
The “Guardian Angels”
program is a financial aid scholarship program that was launched
last year by friends and parishioners who wished to help deserving
students attend St. Joseph School. In its first year, the program
benefited ten students who otherwise might not have been able to
afford a Catholic education. Administered directly by the parish,
funds collected by the Guardian Angels program subsidize a
significant part of the tuition cost for active parish families who
demonstrate some financial need. If you would like to sponsor a
child in our parish school next year for a half, three-quarters,
or full tuition scholarship, please contact Father Chris
directly.
SUNDAY SCRIPTURE SHARING
If you are looking for some ways to enhance your
prayer life and deepen your relationship with the Lord, there are two
new opportunities available:
●
Each Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. is SUNDAY SCRIPTURE SHARING in
Religious Education meeting room #2 to study and pray with the Scripture
readings for the upcoming Sunday.
●
Each Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. is a MEDITATIVE PRAYER GROUP in
the Chapel which will explore some ancient but newly rediscovered ways
of praying such as the “Centering Prayer.”
If you have any questions about either group,
please call Sister Carolyn at 924-1449.
TUESDAY SCRIPTURE SHARING
Sunday Scripture
Sharing, which meets each Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Religious Education
meeting room #2, will conclude its special discussions on the Advent
Scripture readings at this week’s session. Please see Sister Carolyn
for more information. All are welcome to attend.

NEEDLES FOR CHARITY
An additional session of “Needles
for Charity” now meets in Religious Ed. meeting room #1 on Sunday
afternoons from 3–4 p.m. If you would like to knit at home and donate
your items, please contact Michelle Fraser (393-9162) for more info.
