“GUARDIAN ANGELS” NEEDED
The
“Guardian Angels” program is a financial aid
scholarship program that was launched in 2005 by friends
and parishioners who wished to help deserving students
attend St. Joseph School. Last year, the program
benefited 14 students who otherwise might
not have been able to afford a Catholic education.
Administered directly by the parish, funds collected by
the Guardian Angels program subsidize a
significant part of the tuition cost for active parish
families who demonstrate some financial need. If you
would like to sponsor a child in our parish school next
year for a half, three-quarters, or full tuition
scholarship, please contact Father Chris directly.
On Sunday, July 13
(3 – 5 p.m.) we will break open the Basic Instruction
Before Leaving Earth and learn the
strategies to defend our Catholic faith with loving
tenderness and a cool head in the hot, steamy
days of summer! Light refreshments will be served in the
air-conditioned Pastoral Center. Please see Father
Nick for more info.

elderly and would like to receive Communion or go to
Confession?
If so, please call Helen Lull at the Pastoral Care

MARRIAGE PREPARATION
WORKSHOPS
The Marriage Preparation
workshop, otherwise known as PreCana, will be held
Friday evening and all day Saturday, April 4 – 5 here at St.
Joseph’s. We offer engaged couples a
Diocesan-approved program that covers many topics. The cost
of the workshop is $75 which includes materials, snacks and
lunch.
We would
also like to invite any married couple to join our team. It
is a wonderful experience, keeps your marriage strong and a
lot of fun! Training is provided. If you have any
questions or would like to register, please contact Terry
Pearce by calling 734-6657 or at
jtpearce5@hotmail.com.
All parishioners are
invited to send digital photos of their families to enter
into our new computerized parish census database. This is a
great help for the clergy and staff to be able to put the
“faces” with “names” of the 7,000 Catholics who call St.
Joseph their parish! If you have a digital photo, please
send it to the special email account we have set-up for this
purpose: stjoseph.census@sbcglobal.net.
